Stories of Residents Willing to Queue for Hours for Sports on the Ring Road GBK

Not a few residents who are willing to queue to enter the ring road Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta. A resident of South Jakarta, Jamilah (55) is even willing to queue for 2 hours to be able to exercise on the GBK ring road.

Jamilah queued from 07.00 WIB, and was only able to enter the GBK Stadium ring road at 09.00 WIB. He was with his 60-year-old mother and her 12-year-old son.

“(Come) at 07.00 WIB with mother and child. Mother over 60, child 12 years old, is used to sports here,” Jamilah said while talking to reporters, at GBK, Sunday (6/28/2020).

Jamilah admitted that she was willing to stand in line because she had not exercised in the ring road for GBK Stadium for several months. He also deliberately invited his son.

“I don’t want to be here for a long time, I want to go on school holidays,” he said.

In addition to Jamilah, there is a resident of Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Ningsih (40) who is willing to queue from 06.00 WIB to 09.00 WIB so that he can enter the stadium ring road. She came with her husband.

“From 6:00 a.m. WIB, the same as both husbands, yes they are willing (in line),” he said.

Furthermore, Heraldi (15) a resident of West Jakarta claimed to choose GBK as a place to exercise because of his comfortable facilities. However, Heraldi did not deny the fear of contracting the Corona virus (COVID-19) because he met with many people.

“From 07.00 WIB I want to exercise, the facilities are good, I am afraid (infected),” he added.
