“Pendulum” earned by Jānis Ikauniks “Stromsgodset” pulls a draw in the Norwegian championship game

On Sunday, the midfielder of the Latvian national football team Jānis Ikaunieks went to the substitution in the Norwegian top league and with an active performance helped Drammen’s “Stromsgodset” team to win one point.

The Drammen football players fought a draw 1: 1 (0: 1) with the Alesund team at home in the fourth round.

Thanks to the goal scored by Sigurd Haugen, the guests won the first half with 1: 0. Ikaunieks joined the game in the second half, when in the 63rd minute came the substitution.

At the end of the regular time, he earned an 11-meter penalty kick with his activity. In one of the episodes, Kuldīga had already recovered to hit the rebound, but the opponent knocked him down from behind. The “pendulum” was performed by Mikels Maigārds Jākobsens, who reached 1: 1 in the 89th minute.

With eight points in four games, the Stromsgodset ranks fourth in the tournament table.

The Norwegian Premier League season was due to start in April, but due to the spread of the coronavirus, the start of the tournament was postponed. At the beginning of May, full-fledged training could resume in Norway, but at the end of the month, the green light for the test matches was given.

Ikaunieks scored in all three test games before the delayed start of the season.
