Paris Saint-Germain vs. AS Monaco – Football Match Report – 12 January 2020

Paris Saint-Germain’s defensive shortcomings were exposed when Monaco snatched the champions’ Ligue 1 winning streak in an exciting 3-3 draw at Parc des Princes on Sunday.

Neymar opened the scoring for leaders, but Monaco, who was playing his first Ligue 1 game under new manager Robert Moreno, reacted with goals from Gelson Martins and Wissam Ben Yedder.

PSG drew with an own goal from Fode Ballo-Toure and Neymar scored the second to carry them on, before substitute Islam Slimani took a point for the visitors.

The result left PSG on 46 points in 19 games, five ahead of Olympique de Marseille’s second place, who played one more game. Monaco is eighth out of 29 points having also played 19 games.

PSG, who had won six previous league games, and Monaco will play again at Louis II on Wednesday.

Nantes rose to fourth with 32 points thanks to the 2-0 victory in St Etienne.
