Benji Marshall’s fairytale farewell does not go as planned, from second place in the Dally M ranking to a drop in the reserve and now to a possible change in the off-season.
Marshall was dropped after the Tigers’ disappointing loss to the Titans and hasn’t seen a top-notch campaign since, despite being one of the club’s best players last year.
Now the Sydney Morning Herald reports that Marshall’s manager has taken on the task of finding a new club for the rest of the season.

The Herald reports that Matt Desira, Marshalls Manager, was in contact with the Cowboys, Storm and Sea Eagles.

The cowboys are not lacking in gameplay, but they didn’t have much success in the post-Johnathan Thurston era and could use an experienced leader to lead the team around.
In the meantime, Melbourne could use a short-term replacement for Cameron Munster, as does Manly and the injured fifth and eighth Dylan Walker.
When contacting the HeraldMarshall said he had no knowledge of his manager’s actions to buy him while Desira refused to comment.
Marshall was classy when he first reacted to his shock ax and admitted that, though surprised, he took the feedback and was determined to make his way back into the page.
