Liverpool’s morning headlines when Jürgen Klopp sends “incredible” news, Reds said it was “hands off”

Here are the headlines of Liverpool morning on Monday June 29th.

Klopp writes an open letter

Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp wrote to Reds fans on Merseyside after their first Premier League title was confirmed last week.

The title win makes Liverpool the first time in the Premier League and the first time since Kenny Dalglish 30 years ago. In an open letter for ECHO, Klopp explained how privileged he feels to work in an “incredible club in an incredible city”.

Klopp wrote: “First, when you read this newspaper, it is because you are interested in the city of Liverpool and want to know more about it. In this sense, we already have something in common.

“I’ve never written a letter to a newspaper. I do a lot of press conferences and know that I am mentioned in the media more than normal, but this is the first time that I feel the need to write a letter and the reason is that I want to speak to him directly Liverpool people.

“This is an incredible time for incredible supporters of an incredible club in an incredible city. For some of you, it’s the end of a long wait for Liverpool to become champions, but whether you’ve waited 30 years or 30 minutes, I hope you enjoy this moment as you deserve it. “

Klopp said what to do after leaving Liverpool

Former Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic believes Klopp should become the German national team coach after his term in Anfield ends.

Subotic explained that after his contract ended in 2024, Klopp would have nothing to achieve in the national game and that management at an international level could offer him another type of challenge to overcome.

The center-back was a vital part of Klopp’s successful teams in Mainz and Borussia Dortmund and would appreciate if his former manager took on a new project after his time at Merseyside.

“Jürgen Klopp should definitely become national coach at some point – and then win the World Cup with Germany,” Subotic told CHECK24 about the Daily Express.

“When it comes to success, there is definitely nothing left, not even for Kloppo.

“Through Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool also invited new people to get excited about football. And that is also an achievement.

“There is a lot of hope in this idea, which Jürgen Klopp lives with his team and which goes beyond European sports culture.”

Southampton problem tease Liverpool transfer message

Southampton’s Twitter account humorously warned Liverpool to leave Danny Ings’ hands after the former Liverpool man continued his brilliant home form with two goals against Watford on Sunday.

Ings moved to the south coast for £ 20m last summer after a successful loan from the Saints and has enjoyed a rich form ever since. He scored his 20th and 21st goal of the season in all competitions on Sunday, making him one of the strongest goal scorers in domestic football.

After his team’s victory over Watford, the club’s Twitter account replied to a Liverpool fan who asked if the Reds could sign the striker again and said, “They’ve had enough of us …”

People like Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, and Adam Lallana have moved from Southampton to Liverpool in recent years, and it seems that the club or on its Twitter account won’t be ready to return Ings to Anfield.
