Kyler Murray posts video of Cardinals training and launches it to DeAndre Hopkins

Kyler Murray gave the first glimpses of the budding relationship between him and Pro Bowl catcher DeAndre Hopkins on Monday.

The Arizona Cardinals quarterback posted a video of his training sessions in the Dallas area last week. The one-minute clip shared on his Instagram account included the sophomore quarterback who jumped on Hopkins, who had been acquired in an off-season exchange with the Houston Texans.

Putting on a yellow beanie, an “equality” t-shirt and a “K1” chain, Murray is shown launching to receivers like Hopkins, Andy Isabella and Christian Kirk. Other players featured in the video include halfback Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmonds, as well as semi-finalists Maxx Williams and Dan Arnold.

But of course, the attention and importance of a voluntary rally was about Murray getting time on the field with Hopkins, who last year with the Texans had 104 receptions (third in the NFL) for 1165 yards and seven touchdowns.

According to Mike Florio of NBC Sports, Murray paid the way to 20 of his teammates to join him near his home to get to know each other. Due to the coronavirus, the majority of offensive skill players did not meet in person during the completely distant NFL offseason program.

The trip cost Murray more than $ 40,000, Florio reported, and the quarterback paid for travel and subsistence. According to Florio, Murray has also planned training sessions and off-field activities such as bowling and Top Golf.

Last week, several Instagram stories from his teammates showed that some members of the group had visited Murray’s former playgrounds: the impressive Eagle Stadium at Allen High School.

The group decided to meet in the Dallas area after NFL Players Association medical director Dr. Thom Mayer advised players to avoid private training amid increased coronavirus numbers on weekends -end last.
