Jude Bellingham refused Manchester United for Borussia Dortmund “because his father was shot”

Jude Bellingham turned down Manchester United for a £ 18m move from Borussia Dortmund “because his father was hit by Jadon Sancho’s progress in the Bundesliga”

  • Jude Bellingham is expected to dismiss Man United and join Borussia Dortmund
  • The 16-year-old had previously toured the United training ground
  • But the star’s father believes that Dortmund would be the best place for development
  • Bellingham has scored four goals in 37 appearances for Birmingham this term

Jude Bellingham’s father Mark convinced the teenager to join Borussia Dortmund instead of Manchester United in the summer, according to The Mirror.

The report states that Mark Bellingham, who was a prolific scorer in non-championship football, convinced his son to join the Bundesliga club after seeing the development of England’s international Jadon Sancho.

Dortmund are expected to sign the 16-year-old midfielder with an initial commission of £ 18 million and could pay up to £ 25 million if performance add-ons are included in the deal.

Jude Bellingham should reject Manchester United to join Borussia Dortmund

Manchester United was firmly chased to sign the 16-year-old and even invited him for a starry tour around their training base, but he doesn’t seem to live up to it.

The future of Bellingham, who impressed for the full season after entering the first team round at an early age, has long been unclear.

A myriad of elite European clubs were also interested in attracting him, but the young man is expected to complete a move to Dortmund.

Bellingham will not be able to put pen and paper on a professional deal until he turns 17 on June 29.

He currently earns only £ 145 a week in Birmingham, but has reportedly been given an offer of £ 60,000 a week in his new club.

And after having already become attached to the faithful of Sant’Andrea, the starlet will see the rest of the campaign in the second level before finally launching herself in Germany.

The transfer figure shown comes in the form of a training compensation. The deal is similar to the € 7 million (£ 6.3 million) deal that saw Sancho move from Manchester City to Dortmund in search of the first team’s football in 2018.
