Dustin Poirier at UFC Vegas 4 after a great performance he won with another lightweight top player Dan Hooker. The fight, which will certainly be a candidate for the best clash this year, delighted fans and specialists. Immediately after the gala, many people began to wonder who would be the next rival of “Diamond”. Ariel Helwani from ESPN suggested a combination of Poirier with Tony Ferguson. Dustin commented on this suggestion on his Twitter profile.

Dustin Poirier vs. Tony Ferguson. Who wouldn’t want to see this?

Damn, let me rest, brother!

Poirier commented on his future in the UFC octagon just after the fight:

I don’t know, maybe I’ll fight before the end of the year, maybe next. Now I just want to go home to my daughter. I am a winner, I had a long break. It was the longest break in my career and I fought 40 times. I haven’t fought for 9 months. I couldn’t strain my leg for 8 weeks. I had to deal with adversity and now I am a winner. I want to be even better.

I would like to still love this sport, I won’t force anything, I don’t want to lose my love for MMA. I do it for a really long time and try to train and develop hard. I want to lead my career in the right way so that I can do my best.

Poirier and Ferguson are UFC light category veterans. Both men have already won great wins with strong rivals. “El Cucuy” in the last duel had to recognize the superiority of Justin Gaethje in the challenge for a temporary championship belt category up to 70 kilograms. “Diamond” successfully returned to the winning track after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov defeating Dan Hooker by a referee decision. It is not known if UFC will be interested in listing players. At the moment they occupy top places in the light category – Poirier is third and Ferguson is second.
