Jarrell Miller again tests positive for performance-enhancing drugs

Boxing star Jarrell Miller has reportedly tested a fight against Anthony Joshua positive for a performance-enhancing drug less than a year after a failed test.

Big Baby was scheduled to fight his first fight against Jerry Forrest in the United States on July 9, The Sun reports.

According to The Athletic, the 31-year-old failed another drug test and his fight was stopped.

Former kickboxer Miller got his shot at heavyweight champion Joshua last year after passing Tomasz Adamek and Bogdan Dinu.

But he missed his big night at Madison Square Garden and a $ 7 million payday against the British after testing positive for banned substances GW501516, EPO and HGH.

The New York State Athletic Commission rejected Miller’s application for a boxing license in the United States, with Ruiz Jr. taking his place.

The Mexican shocked the world by winning the heavyweight titles, while the World Boxing Association Miller handed over a six-month ban and got him out of their top 15 positions.

He blamed the test errors for a stem cell shot he received to deal with persistent elbow problems.

Forrest’s promoter Lou DiBella was angry that Miller had put his client’s fight at risk.

“I was overwhelmed right after this fight and found that no one had forced this guy to do any form of PED testing,” DiBella told The Athletic.

“So he’s blowing a heavyweight title fight at MSG and no commission, no rating organization, not the Association of Boxing Commission, no one has forced him to take tests. Unfortunately, I’m not surprised.

“I was expecting him to be with such astute PED people that since this fight he would have been cycling down in less than 30 days and not being caught. But I assumed that he would be dirty and told Jerry, and Jerry said he would hit him anyway. “

During Miller’s absence, he signed with promoter Bob Arums Top Rank and talked about how excited he was to return.

Miller said, “It was good working with Bob and figuring out what the best way is, and I can’t wait.

“There are many different things and many different aspects. The main thing is to sit down with the team and find out what the best way is.

“As soon as we have created a game plan, it will be executed strongly and without interruption.

“I don’t care who it is and where it is, I just want to cut off someone’s head and I want to show fans that Big Baby’s mind is 100 percent correct.”

A Top Rank spokesman told The Telegraph, “Top Rank is aware of the situation and Jarrell Miller will be temporarily suspended on Monday morning at the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

“He’s also out of his fight on July 9th.”
