Philippe Gilbert (Lotto-Soudal) knows for which goals he is training. The rider has finished his program with races. He starts the Strade Bianche on August 1 and rides almost all classics. On August 8 he wants to score in Milan-Sanremo. In between, he opts for the Tour de France.
That the great goal of Philippe Gilbert this fall is Milan-Sanremo, the rider of Lotto-Soudal does not hide from seats or benches. August 8 is therefore marked in red in his agenda. He drives 2 more races before that: Strade Bianche and Milan-Turin.
The difficult World Cup in Switzerland logically ignores Gilbert. He will ride the Tour de France in September.
In October he will drive three more monuments. Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. He also picks up the Brabant Arrow and the Amstel Gold Race.
