“This is a special moment. But that is also a very strange moment. Everyone has never had a season like this, ”said Christian Seifert, Managing Director of the German Football League (DFL). Seifert handed the bowl over to Bavaria’s captain Manuel Neuer. “No spectators, no cheers, no whistles – that’s a strange atmosphere. But to finish our championship today is a huge achievement, ”said Seifert.

Due to the safety and hygiene concept of the German Football League (DFL), only 100 people were allowed inside the stadium. The DFL boss thanked the authorities, the fans who had stayed at home for months and all the pros that the season could be ended despite the corona pandemic: “I know that you have tried very hard in the past few weeks under very complicated conditions bring. By doing so, you have contributed to the fact that all 36 DFL clubs have survived this phase of the crisis. ”
