FC Barcelona were held 2-2 on Celta Vigo on Saturday, the 32nd day of the Spanish championship. Luis Suarez gave twice the advantage to the Catalans (20th and 67th), but Fiodor Smolov (50th) and Iago Aspas (88th) tied the two teams.
Barça passed close to the opening of the score at the start of the match when Pique’s head was pushed back by the crossbar (7th).
The first goal fell in the 20th minute. On a free kick, Messi placed the ball on the head of Suarez, who sent it into the net.
Celta equalized at the start of the second period. Ivan Rakitic lost the ball in midfield, Iago Aspas launched Okay Yokuslu whose center of the right was victoriously taken over by Fiodor Smolov (50th).
Barcelona regained the advantage thanks again to Suarez, who took advantage of a ball recovered by Messi to deceive Blanco (67th).
Celta did not get discouraged and Iago Aspas snatched the equalizer two minutes before the end, with a free kick from the left.
This faux pas complicates the task of Barcelona. The Catalans certainly take the lead temporarily with 69 points, but could see Real Madrid (68), expected Sunday by Espanyol Barcelona, have two points ahead six days before the end of the championship, while the Madrid benefit in addition to the advantage at the level of the particular difference of goals.
