VIF confirms

Thus, the VIF player thought he could play against Rosenborg on Wednesday, but the rules of the NFF say that give and with the player has four yellow cards this season, there is suspension.

Now the Oslo club even writes on Twitter that they have received confirmation from NFF that Shala is eligible for Wednesday’s big match against Rosenborg:

Nettavisen has tried to get in touch with NFF on Monday night, without luck.

As late as Monday morning, NFF confirmed that Shala had to zone out against Rosenborg on Wednesday, despite the player dropping suspension after the Stabæk settlement.

The confirmed head of legal section of the Norwegian Football Association, Espen Auberg, to Eurosport.

The suspension came as a surprise to the player himself as well.

– I think it’s very strange. After all, it was wrong at first, so it’s a shame. It’s ruining our team now, “Shala told Eurosport.

Expelled for filming

Shala was expelled after incurring two yellow cards in the game against Stabæk, and the latter situation became a big “talk ice cream” in the aftermath. The midfielder went down in a duel with Stabæk stopper Yaw Amankwah, and Chief Judge Rogit Saggi perceived that Shala was trying to film himself into a free kick.

In the aftermath, Saggi admitted that he probably made the mistake of giving Shala a yellow card for filming.

“You can say in retrospect that there is enough contact there, so I could drop the yellow, but I still do not think it is a duel that corresponds to direct free kick,” he told Eurosport.

The NFF’s disciplinary committee decided that Shala should not be suspended following the situation against Stabæk, but the committee could not, according to the regulations, review the yellow card, which remained standing. The committee waived the general rule that red cards automatically resulted in at least one fight quarantine.
