Bruno Fernandes has dispelled Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s acceptance since the transfer from Man Utd

Big things were expected from Bruno Fernandes when Manchester United finally got his man in the transfer window in January.

The Portuguese playmaker was asked to change the fate of the Red Devils after a tough time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But few could have predicted the immediacy of its impact – including its new manager.

Fernandes was an integral part of an undefeated 12-game run in all competitions before clashing with Brighton tonight.

He scored four goals and provided four assists – which disproves Solskjaer’s earlier assumption that it would take some time for a player to adjust.

Maguire and Wan-Bissaka both got off to a strong start, but have reached new heights in recent months, with Maguire being an integral part of the tense backline and Wan-Bissaka beginning to unlock his attack attributes.

But it is proof of Fernandes’ special ability that it is difficult to see a lot of room for further improvement since he immediately changed the Old Trafford outfit.

His teammate Nemanja Matic was also surprised by his immediate impression.
