  • Brann – Rosenborg 1-2 (1-1)

Rosenborg is really under pressure during the day. Three games without victory ended with Eirik Horneland retiring as a coach in the club. In came Trond Henriksen as interim coach, while Mikael Dorsin assists as assistant.

Fire, for its part, is in great form, and has won its last two games convincingly.

It looked like Rosenborg was going for his fourth point loss in a row, but in the final minutes the Trunders were saved by substitute Carlo Holse who put the ball into the arc over the Brann keeper. Acosta root made the ball fall into the legs of the Danish.

– It means a lot. A win here we can really build on, says match winner Holse after the game for Eurosport.

From then on, Koomson had set 1-0 for the Bergens, while Even Hovland equalized on a dead ball.

– This one’s heavy. I think the guys deserve praise, and I think we deserve more than this. But that’s the way football is, says Lars Arne Nilsen after the game.

Bamba was not happy when he was replaced, and he went straight to the wardrobe. The Fire Trainer does not appreciate that.

– It’s another frustration there. That’s not how we want it. I’ll take it with him after the fight, says Nilsen.

One who is more satisfied after the match is Rosenborg’s substitute coach Trond Henriksen.

– It was important for the players, RBK and Trøndelag to get three points today. We played better than before in the season, although it was not fantastic. We got better and better in the second half. It was well deserved, although the last goal was a bit “lucky”.

Henriksen says he has been focusing on clearing the players of negative attitudes in recent days, and admits that it has been tough to experience a season introduction where the team has played poorly and they have received a lot of “shit” in return.

Rescued by Helland death ball

The fight started terribly for the Trunders. Fire scored after only five minutes played. It was Gilbert Koomson putting the ball into the net after Bamba found him from the deadline. Thereby 1-0 to the home team.

Shortly after, Brann was close to 2-0 after Bamba put the ball just outside André Hansen’s goal. RBK, for its part, had nothing special to answer with.

After about 20 minutes played, Rosenborg went on another bang – this time in the form of injury. Samuel Adegbenro went down for count and had to be replaced. In came the young boy Emil Konradsen Ceide.

Eventually, the game got pretty poor, but completely on the ropes of the second half, Rosenborg struck back. Pål André Helland hit a great ball into the box that was controlled by Even Hovland. That made it 1-1 for the break.

Damage Smell

Second round also started fast. First, Islamovic got two golden opportunities – first by a volley, then by a header.

Fire also had opportunities, but none of the teams noted for scoring the first ten minutes of the second half.

Throughout the round, we got some potentially great chances, but that lacked the end product for a possible scoring. Rosenborg in particular had a great chance with Fire in unbalance, where a weak post from Helland prevented them in a big chance.

Fire went on an injury spell when Daniel Pedersen had to go out with injury. It might look like he was struggling with pain in his knee.
