Brighton v Manchester United LIVE early team news, predicted lineups and score predictions

The latest fixture gives United a big boost before kick-off

There have been seven FA Cup quarter-finals or Premier League games since Saturday, all of which were won by the away team. We haven’t seen an obvious advantage for away teams like the Bundesliga, but this weekend has certainly started to resist this trend, and United will hope to reach eight out of eight tonight.

The FA Cup quarter-finals were all won by favorites on the street, but the nature of these games changed due to the closed doors, depriving outsiders of passionate support. This also applies to Aston Villa and Watford, who were beaten by Wolves and Southampton, who are at the wrong end of the Premier League table but would have had strong backing at this point of the season.

Brighton’s need for points is not that important anymore, but this would have been a noisy place for United with fans, and they will hope to continue the trend this weekend.
