Arsenal’s dream attack if Raul Sanllehi offers Mikel Arteta’s vision Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Mikel Arteta will play a key role in ensuring that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang engages his future in Arsenal.

It’s no secret that the Gunners’ captain has now entered the last 12 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and there are conflicting rumors about an extension offer.

Whatever the situation, Arteta is anxious for the thirty-year-old to stay and the Telegraph says that the Spaniard wants to build a young and lively team around him.

But what would a vibrant young attack look like if football chief Raul Sanllehi provided Arteta’s vision for Aubameyang? Well, football.london take a look …

On the right side of a trio that supports Aubameyang in attack there would be the Arsenal club record with Nicolas Pepe.

Despite the inconsistent international form of the Ivory Coast this season, it seems to have reached an agreement with the Gunners n. 14. This is evident with half of Pepe’s six Premier League assists in favor of Aubameyang.

Also position no. 10 is crucial. Mesut Ozil didn’t really connect to Aubameyang as many would have expected when the latter arrived at the Emirates Stadium.

At some point in the very near future, the Gunners will have to switch to the German director and recent rumors suggest that Arteta is already looking for potential successors for the 31-year-old.

Among those connected with Arsenal are the young Feyenoord Orkun Kokcu, Jonathan David of Gent and former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

Of the trio, the Brazilian represents the best option for what Arteta wants to achieve in the short term with Aubameyang.

While Coutinho has generally thrived from a left-wing stance throughout his career, allowing him to operate more centrally increases the prospect of slipping balls for Aubameyang to finish.

Completing the Dream Attack is a player from Aubameyang’s past and a risky affair on behalf of Arsenal.

Ousmane Dembele is reportedly on sale in Barcelona this summer and his miserable injury record since joining the Catalan giants would be enough to put anyone off to make a move.

However, the only season spent together with Borussia Dortmund should be enough to convince Sanllehi to pay the £ 37 million fee that Barca has apparently put on the head of the talented winger.

In 2016/2017 Dembele recorded a total of 12 assists in the Bundesliga. Of which 10 benefited Aubameyang, thus making the pair more lethal in the top five European leagues that season.

A closer look at these assists and you will notice that Gabon International pulls on the rear post and the then 21 year old who provides a perfectly thoughtful cross.

The return to this combination coupled with some shrewd additions on the field – particularly in attack – could really convince Aubameyang that Arsenal is going in places.
