MMA fighter Jon ‘Bones’ Jones has been arrested for DWI

Mixed martial arts fighter Jon “Bones” Jones was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, careless use of a firearm and possession of an open container early Thursday morning. According to a criminal complaint, the agents responded to the 3rd Street and Central Avenue area immediately after one in the morning in reference to the shots fired. When they arrived, they found Jones in his vehicle with the engine running. Jones told police he didn’t know anything about the shots fired. Officers noticed signs of intoxication and police say Jones has admitted to officers that he was driving before and that he intended to drive now. Police say Jones agreed to a sobriety test and misbehaved. Police add that when given a breathalyzer he tested at least twice above the legal limit. After Jones was arrested, the police found a black gun under the driver’s seat and a half-empty 750ml bottle of Recuerdo behind the passenger seat. Jones was accused of aggravated DWI, negligent use of a firearm and possession of an open container. This is the fighter’s second DWI and was arrested last year on charges of charging the battery.
