Egypt qualified for the final of the CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations, after defeating Libya 5-2 in the semifinal, to reserve their place at the Lithuania 2020 Futsal World Cup.
The pharaohs will compete in the Futsal Futsal World Cup for the seventh consecutive edition. The three-time champions of the African Futsal Cup of Nations (1996, 2000, 2004) will face the winner of Morocco-Angola in the final on Friday.
Egypt won all three games of the group stage, defeating Guinea (9-0), Angola (3-0) and Mozambique (3-2), before seeing Libya in the semifinals.
The winner of Morocco-Angola and the winner of Friday’s game for third place as representatives of Africa in the world finals will join the Pharaohs in Lithuania 2020.
