PSV is still in the race for Ricardo Rodriguez. It seems that Fenerbahçe has the best papers, but it Eindhovens Dagblad reports that the player has still not made his choice.
Italian media are convinced that the left back will continue its career at Fenerbahçe. Yet the battle has not yet been fought. On behalf of PSV, technical manager John de Jong and commissioner or house lawyer Peter Fossen are in Italy to negotiate a transfer with AC Milan and Camp-Rodriguez. It reports on Thursday afternoon ED that both PSV and the management of the Swiss deny that the battle is already over.
For days PSV has been competing with the Turkish top club for the Swiss international. At first PSV wanted to rent Rodriguez while AC Milan only wanted to sell him. In the last few days there are different stories and the transfer saga seems to be going in all directions. PSV sees Rodriguez as the ideal reinforcement for the starting eleven who will have to give up in the Eredivisie in the second half of the season.
Will it be PSV or Fenerbahce for left back Ricardo Rodriguez? In Italy it is certain that ‘Fener’ wins the sprint-a-deux. Neither from PSV nor from the Rodriguez area does it sound that PSV is 100% without a chance. The player should still make his final choice. To be continued.
