An NHL fan used “Kiss Cam” in the arena to play a cruel joke on his date Thursday, probably earning a trip to the penalty area.
The unidentified fan, sporting a Mat Barzal shirt on the device of the New Yorkers’ home, kissed the woman next to him after appearing on the jumbotron of the Nassau Coliseum.

Then he entered the corridor and knelt as if he were about to propose.
The woman stood up and looked amazed but instead of making a ring, the man tied his shoes.
The islanders ended up losing with the New Jersey Devils, 2-1.
Even though the playoffs seem out of reach, the Devils won’t waste the rest of the season.
Nico Hischier scored the tie at the start of the third period, helping the Devils record their third straight win.
“We are playing with confidence and doing shows,” said Hischier.
“From one boy to the last boy, everyone digs in.”
P.K. Subban also scored and Mackenzie Blackwood added 29 saves to help the Devils improve 6-2-1 in their last nine games.
“We have moved away from our game to make it really difficult for them,” said Islanders manager Barry Trotz.
“I thought we were going to do a great job for the first 30 minutes. We must stay in what we do well. If there is a game to play, do it. If not, let’s put it in a place where we can recover it or continue to own it. I didn’t think we did it during the whole game. “
The Islanders’ next match is against Colorado’s Avalanche on Tuesday.
