Krzysztof Piątek, transferred to Aston Villa, enjoyed a nice evening in front of the goal for Milan.

He is believed to have been given another chance to impress for Milan under Stefano Pioli tonight against SPAL in a Coppa Italia match.

Milan won with three goals to zero – and Piątek was involved in two of them.

The attacker opened the scoring within twenty minutes by running on a teasing ball passed in space by Ismael Bennacer. Piątek breaks into the box, controls the pass and hits him past the goalkeeper and in the corner.

Twenty minutes later, the attacker has overcome two challenges to win the ball in midfield and bring it into the area. A mere layoff to Samu Castillejo led to a goal – and an assist to the striker – when Castillejo bent the ball into the top corner.

Piątek’s performance was not only collected by the AC Milan players, but by fans of Aston Villa.

Here are some of their reactions to Piątek’s game against SPAL:

Mark Nokes: A goal and an assist for Piatek won’t come to Villa tonight, then!

Farria: Piatek has just scored for Milan, surpassing him too.

Paul Bennett: Unpopular opinion perhaps, looking at Piatek on BT Sport at the moment, and it does not seem at all, it is definitely not worth 30m on this test.

Simon Bunn: Piatek started in front of Ibrahimovic tonight and he just scored after 20 minutes for Milan. I think Villa fans should switch from this rumor. Slimani is more realistic at this stage, and I agree.

Conor Mulrennan: Villa’s poor chances of signing Piatek are disappearing at the minute.

Lee Jones: Piatek has indicated that 10 million more will want!

The Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport said that while Piątek is still involved in the first team, Milan is ready and waiting for serious offers for the Polish striker.

Villa is seeking surprising help as he tries to fight relegation. Dean Smith is without first team striker due to Wesley’s severe ligament injury. Escort striker Jonathan Kodjia is ready to move while Keinan Davis is injured.
