Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri is Sevilla’s new player for the next five and a half seasons, until June 2025, after having closed the Andalusian club his signing with Leganés, his previous team, and with the player, at the expense of the result of the mandatory medical examination.
Sevilla announced on Thursday the signing of En-Nesyri, which will sign its new contract when it passes the medical tests, and although the Sevilla organization has not specified the figures for the operation, sources of the negotiation told Efe that will pay an amount close to 20 million euros, the amount of its termination clause.
The new attacker of Sevilla (Fez, June 1, 1997) accumulates, despite his youth (22 years), twenty-one matches with the Moroccan national team, with which he has scored six goals, one of them in his debut in the last World Cup, against Spain, and the last one last November against Burundi.
Trained at the Mohammed VI Academy in his country, En-Nesyri arrived at the quarry of Malaga with 18 years, in the 2015-16 campaign, and debuted with his first team in 2017-18, in which he played a leading role in the first phase of LaLiga until his march to the African Cup, with 15 games played -13 league and two of Copa- and somewhat scored.
In the following season he established himself in the first malaguista team, with 26 meetings -one of Cup- and four goals scored, after what played the World Cup in Russia and, with the decline of Malaga to Second, he was transferred to Leganés, with a 15 points balance in 53 shocks disputed in the last year and a half.
Last season he played 31 gamesLeague and three Cup with the cucumber set, with 9 and 2 goals achieved, respectively, and in the present he had four goals in eighteen Lig matchesa -just lost the match against Mallorca- and one of the tournament cup.
The incorporation of En-Nesyri, which could debut on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu if the technician Julen Lopetegui he sees fit, palliates the casualties in attack of Seville in this winter market, with the transfer of the Israeli Munas Dabbur al Hoffenheim German and the imminent march of the Mexican Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández to Los Angeles Galaxy
