RB Leipzig does not fulfill Stefan Ilsanker’s wish for a transfer. As the “Bild” reports, the German Bundesliga team will not let the ÖFB team player go.

The reason for this decision is the fact that Ibrahima Konate and Willi Orban, two central defenders, will be out for a few more weeks.

“Under the circumstances, with the injured Orban and Konaté, it would be difficult to let Ilse go. In general, the success of the team always comes before the interests of individual players,” said sports director Markus Krösche.

It can be assumed that Leipzig will also register the 30-year-old for the Champions League.

The Salzburg player was used in six competitive games towards the end of the autumn season. His contract expires in the summer.
