While FC Barcelona are committed to signing Rodrigo from Valencia, Quique Setién has another Liga striker in mind: Loren Morón, according to a new report.
Setién knows the striker of his time at Real Betis, when he left Real Betis B to become an indisputable starter. He is now in sixth position in the Pichichi match with 8 goals.
However, Barcelona is said not to appreciate Morón very much because they think his low media profile will make him more difficult to sell when the time comes to move him.
For the moment, it seems that Rodrigo de Valencia is the first name on the Barcelona wish list.
Chimas Ávila of Osasuna is also mentioned as a possibility. He has nine goals so far this season in La Liga, which puts him in fourth place in the standings. Setién’s second in command, Eder Sarabia, also praised Ávila on Twitter before joining Barcelona’s technical staff. However, the Argentine would count against the three non-EU points in Barcelona, which could be reserved for Arthur (Brazil), Arturo Vidal (Chile) and Ronald Araújo (Uruguay), if the latter is promoted.
