After missing her Scuol meeting, the Saint-Galloise climbed on the third step of the podium in Austria in the parallel slalom. Ladina Jenny and Patrizia Kummer finish 5th.
The stage of Scuol (GR) and its giant on Saturday had led to a big disappointment in the women’s camp of the Swiss alpine snowboard team. It was deleted on Tuesday in Bad Gastein (AUT) thanks in particular to Julie Zogg. The 27-year-old Saint-Galloise was able to get back into the saddle perfectly by taking 3rd place in the parallel slalom contested at night.
Beaten in the semifinals by future winner Ramona Hofmeister, who had already won at Scuol, Julie Zogg then beat Carolin Langenhorst in the small final. Note that Ester Ledecka, who was competing in her first snowboarding competition of the winter while she is fighting for the Crystal Globe of downhill skiing, took 2nd place, only being beaten final. Eliminated in the quarterfinals, Ladina Jenny and Patrizia Kummer, inherit 5th place. In the parallel ranking, Julie Zogg and 2nd and Ladina Jenny 3rd.
In the men’s, Dario Caviezel did not manage to follow up after his podium at Scuol. The Grison had to settle for 18th place in an event won by the Italian Daniele Bagozza.
