Mauricio Pochettino remains shy about his next job, but refuses to rule out a return to the Premier League.
The former Tottenham boss, fired from Spurs in November, had been linked to Barcelona work this month.
But when asked about his next professional move in a LaLigaTV event, Pochettino said he was still considering his options.
He said: “For me, I was so lucky to start my career as a manager at the Espanyol in Barcelona and then to come to the Premier League to learn a different language and culture and today I am a better person.
“I have more knowledge and it was a fantastic experience. The Premier League is the Premier League.
“Football was born here in England, but I think LaLiga has fantastic football and fantastic coaches.
“Trainers like Gustavo (Poyet, who was on the panel) and myself, let’s be in the best place. England and Spain are the two best leagues in the world. “
The former Southampton chief was reportedly approached by Barcelona as the new chief after firing Ernesto Valverde on Monday.
The LaLiga champions appointed by the former Real Betis manager, Quique Setien and Pochettino, insisted that the Barca philosophy continue.
He told LaLigaTV: “Barcelona is obviously one of the biggest teams in the world. Obviously now with the new manager everyone expects the same philosophy to continue.
“Valverde has done a fantastic job in LaLiga and with Barcelona and it is a great challenge for Quique Setien. He has shown incredible love for Cruyff and the style of Barcelona football.
“I think it is a great opportunity for him to live his dream and it is so surprising to follow what will happen.”
