Christian Benteke’s agent appears to have broken silence on his striker’s thoughts in a move this month.

Aston Villa has been strongly connected with a return to the hero of Villa Park, who is currently at the Crystal Palace.

New reports this morning said Villa still retains an interest in Benteke as they try to strengthen their options earlier this month.

Mbwana Samatta was confirmed as a Villa player earlier this week with a £ 8.5 million deal, but has signed on to replace Wesley Moraes who is out for the season with a serious knee injury.

The head coach of the Villa, Dean Smith, still wants to bring another advantage, with Olivier Giroud of Chelsea and Krzysztof Piatek of AC Milan also connected with a move to the B6.

Benteke has also been linked with a move to Besiktas, with Belgian publication Het Laatste Nieuws report earlier this week that the Turkish top level side was concerned.

But they also broke the rumors and said that Benteke is still focused on Palace.

Now, the agent of the Belgian national team, Eris Kismet, has reportedly addressed the future of his client.

“Even if there were offers on their side, Christian is 100% sure that he won’t go to Turkey and stay at Palace,” Kismet says from the turkish-football.com website.

La Villa is currently in 16th place in the Premier League after 24 games, two points above AFC Bournemouth in 18th.

Benteke joined Villa da Genk in 2012 and spent three seasons at Villa Park, scoring 49 goals in 101 games before moving on to Liverpool.

He managed a season in Anfield before moving to Palace.
