Barcelona have agreed on an agreement to sell defender Jean-Claude Todibo to Schalke.
The 20-year-old was previously connected to both Manchester United and Arsenal, but sealed a move on the Bundesliga side with an initial loan worth € 1.5m (£ 1.3m).
The German side therefore has the possibility to purchase the central defender for € 25 million + € 5 million in additional components (£ 21.4 million + £ 4.3 million).
Barcelona has also included a repurchase option in the deal, which means it will be able to bring the defender back to Camp Nou in the future for € 50 million + € 10 million in add-ons (£ 43 million + £ 8.6 million ).

Arsenal was strongly tied to a move for the defender in the summer, but instead concluded an agreement for central defender Saint-Etienne William Saliba.
In construction until the January window, however, the Gunners were re-connected after a serious injury to Calum Chambers left them short of center-back coverage.
Todibo said the club’s current model played a key role in deciding where he would move.
“The club management convinced me of their plan,” he said on their official website.
“Looking for success with young players. That’s why I chose to join FC Schalke 04.”
Arsenal has also been linked with moves for the likes of Dayot Upamecano and Jerome Boateng.
