Despite a flawless Bundesliga season, the German basketball champion FC Bayern broke up with coach Dejan Radonjic after almost two years. The successor of the 49-year-old Montenegrin will continue to be co-trainer Oliver Kostic until further notice, said the Munich.
«We have repeatedly analyzed the situation surrounding the team, even in the past few weeks. We have now decided to need a new impetus and approach, »said Bayern Managing Director Marko Pesic.
Radonjic had taken over the team from Serbian coach Sasa Djordjevic in early 2018 and won the German championship twice and once won the cup. In the current Bundesliga season, Radonjic and his team have so far had a perfect record with 14 wins from 14 games and led the table.
