MILWAUKEE – Rocky Knicks RJ Barrett never played a house / road with a plane ride between them.
He did not accept it.
In the worst performance of its rookie season, Barrett went 0-for-9 from the park, finishing with two points and one helping 20 minutes Monday night. Twice he drove to the basket and got blocked him, it seems a man was running on fuels in 132-88 Knicks for the Bucks.
“Hard night – back-back, Barrett said. “The first time through this. It was tough but that's what I like about being a rookie, being able to learn things on the fly. ”
The Knicks had two other backup sets – two home games were involved, another in Brooklyn game and a Garden game followed.
“He looked like a rookie today,” said coach David Fizdale of the third choice in the draft. “Sometimes that is what it will look like. But it is a good learning lesson. I remember the days watching Giannis (Antetokounmpo) and I was looking nice when he was 18 years old.
Barrett received an average of 15 points and found his first opportunity to see Antetokounmpo (29 points in 22 minutes).
“It means,” said Barrett.
The Bucks are a striking strike 12 game and are the ones they prefer in the Eastern Congress. Barrett said that his ministry will help his development.
“You see what it takes to win,” said Barrett. “To be a hero, it's good to play against these types of teams. But you got 45 minutes to think about it and we got another game Thursday. I don't care about what happened in the previous game. You must look forward to the next game or your mind will go everywhere. ''
Before the game, Barrett was on the court with Keith Smart, the assistant doctor / auxiliary shot, passing a number of questions about free-worn techniques. If one was disappointed at Barrett's rookie season, his shooting is free, which was 52.4 percent going into the night.
Ironically, that was the only part of his game that looked good Monday as it was 2 out of 2 from the line.
“I was 100 per cent, so I'm good,” said Barrett. “I jump them every day. The last game (Boston vs), I lost a row row but I was good with the whole game. I am better since I worked on it.
The concern is that Barrett will draw many people in the profession to drive and that it must be effective from the line. David Hopla, a former Knicks shot coach, who spoke to the free percentage of Knicks' wear-out tidying, told the Post that he had noticed a technical risk in Barrett that has not yet been fixed.
“His hand is flat or his non-shooting arm on top of the ball, which could hinder a vision,” said Hopla. “When you release it, it moves to the right. His hand should have a bigger balance on the side of the basketball to make less motion and he did not take part in the shot. Reduces accuracy movement more. ''
On this night, Barrett was unable to get his show, missing the 3 point shots.
“NBA, you will have some of these games,” said Barrett.
