If you're a die-hard Toronto Raptors fan, chances are you probably know something about cool sneakers. I mean, it's safe to say that basketball fans and sneaker heads usually hang in the same circles. Kyle Lowry recently dropped an important announcement about the shoe world. The player revealed that a super rare Raptors championship shoe would hit boards, and if you want a pair, it will probably cost you more than just a pretty penny.
UPDATING: The Raptors have just announced that you can reserve a few Adidas AM4 "World Champs" on November 17 via the Raptors Mobile App.
EARLIER: Kyle Lowry recently went to social media to share a promotional video for the shoes.
The short clip reveals that limited-edition shoes have been adjusted for every Raptors score of their championship season from April to June.
It is also worth noting that only 613 shoes are sold in honor of the day that Raptors won it all, 13 June 2019.
However, it is unclear when the sneakers are expected to go on sale or how much they will cost.
"The design is crazy, I didn't even think about it, I'd like to wear them, but they're so expensive," Lowry jokes, describing the shoes.
Raptors fans quickly flocked to social media in response to the announcement, with many expressing a strong desire to own the shoes, regardless of the cost.
"Take my money now," read the first comment about the thread, and it really set the tone for what would follow.
“These are fire. Where can I buy them? Another wrote about the mysterious new show.
Lowry, out of use in the coming weeks due to a tense thumb, was seen on the sidelines with his former teammate Kawhi Leonard last night during the confrontation with the Clippers last night.
The former teammates were all smiling when they first met since Leonard left the team at his free desk in June.
