These two games, which are far too early in the 2020 NFL for the NFL, have left the Chicago Bears up for quarterback in the second round for these position players.
The Chicago Bears are still behind their previous pick in second place. Teammates and coaches all said Mitchell Trubisky was their quarterback. They all trust him and believe that he is a great leader and a great player. This is what you hear from inside Halas Hall. Outside of Halas Hall, most of the media, analysts and fans are clamoring for a new quarter.
It seems that nobody has more confidence in Mitchell Trubisky. Some people think that even Trubisky has lost confidence in himself. I do not buy that one, but it certainly does not play well. No one can deny that he has regressed in 2019. I do not abandon him for the moment, but I've also stated that the Bears can not ignore the quarterback position this season .
I really expect the quarterback room to be very different in 2020. My expectations are that Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray are gone. If I were Ryan Pace, I would be competing with both the free agency and the NFL draft. I do not want to pay much money to Cam Newton for the next quarter of the Bears. I think that would be a mistake.
Marcus Mariota, Philip Rivers or Andy Dalton would be some of the players I would like to offer at the right price. No good additions, but maybe one of these guys is running. The Bears can also tackle the quarterback position with the NFL draft. The team has two second-round picks, but no first-round pick. My thought would be a quarterback with one of two draft picks in the second round.
Well, two recent NFL models from 2020 forced the Bears to override the quarterback position to recruit these players instead.
