The Mets are looking at a former player searching for a new coach.
The team intends to interview Jeremy Hefner on Monday from her coaching post, according to The Athletic. Hefner, 33, 50 made a major appearance on the Mets during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
Hefner is currently a mating coupling coach with the Gemini, who brought Hefner forward as a pre-scout after he retired in 2017.
Phil Regan, 82, completed the 2019 season as the Mets coaching coach after the team Dave Eiland was released in June.
The Mets reunited one of their former players with this team, hiring Carlos Beltran as manager.
