The slab of racism in football has experienced a new chapter this weekend, this time in the Ukrainian league. Brazilian end Taison was the target of the racist chants of Dynamo Kyiv fans who accompanied his team as visitors. The referee called a foul against the South American winger and he broke out against the intolerable expletives of a part of the stands. He decided to throw a ball and dedicate a comb to the sector that was insulting him. The gesture was sanctioned by the referee with the expulsion. The rival players tried to calm and comfort Taison, who could not hold back the tears at such an unpleasant episode.
The 31-year-old is a veteran of the Ukrainian league, with ten seasons already played there. After debuting as a professional in the International Sport Club of Brazil, he ventured to sign for the Ukrainian Metalist in 2010, where he played three years until leaving his current team. In 2018 he played the World Cup in Russia with his team.
