iX.co, the digital subsidiary of sports marketing company Infront, has been appointed by the French Rugby League (ARC) as a digital consulting partner to help drive its global fan engagement push.
As part of the collaboration, iX.co launched one new english language site to the ARC last week. The site aims to build an English-speaking fanbase for the Top 14, France's highest domestic rugby union competition, in English-speaking areas where the sport is popular, such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
As part of what an Infront statement calls a "360-degree digital approach," iX.co has also launched new social media accounts for the league, both in English and Japanese, and will appoint editorial and content management to produce new activations for ARC and the top 14.
Last month, it was announced that iX.co partnered with the Scottish Professional Football League in a similar digital fan engagement.
iX.co was founded in May this year after Infront & # 39; s internal digital services were merged with New York-based Omnigon. Shortly after the launch, CEO Christoph Heimes and Head of Commerce David Nugent said Sports Business on the objectives of the new operation.
