What we learned from the Rugby World Cup Quarterfinals

The Rugby World Cup in the quarterfinals of 2019 has come and gone, and although the results in themselves were not so surprising, there are still plenty of talking points ..

England and New Zealand proved far too good for Australia and Ireland respectively, South Africa shattered Japanese hearts with a clinical victory over the hosts, while Wales triumphed over France under controversial circumstances.

We stayed with Roar rugby expert Geoff Parkes on the Game of Codes podcast to break down all four matches and find out where they were won and lost.

Listen to the discussion:

We started with a good time spent on the Wallabies loss. After some really encouraging patches, how did the game end so pear-shaped?

Then we move on to the other three matches and discuss all the major talking points from each game. Then we make an early call about what the semi-finals look like before we look at the teams that missed the semi-finals and decide which one has the brightest future.
