The former Schalke coach goes to Russia. He trained at Spartak Moscow among others borrowed from Dortmund André Schürrle.
The former Bundesliga coach Domenico Tedesco is the new coach of the Russian football Premier League Spartak Moscow. The 34-year-old signed his contract on Monday in the Russian capital until 2022, in the afternoon he was presented at a press conference.
As co-coach Tedesco brings the former national player Andreas Hinkel (37) with him to Russia. Spartak is ranked ninth in the Russian Premier League after 14 days with 14 points. League leader Zenit Sankt-Peterburg has a 12-point lead. "This is a club with a great appeal, I look forward to this task," said Tedesco at his first press conference in Moscow.
Tedesco had to vacate his post at FC Schalke 04 last March following a 0-7 defeat in the Champions League at Manchester City. At Spartak he meets former Borussia Dortmund World Champion André Schürrle. The capital team had recently conceded five defeats in the league and separated from coach Oleg Kononow.
