Celtic are reportedly leading the chase for Ecuadorian wonderkid Jose Cifuentes and he's just being given arguably South American football's biggest boffin.
Tim Vickery has been watching football for a long time before they are heard from Ronaldinho to Neymar for stardom long before they are heard on these shores.
And the latest player he's tipped for the big time is Cifuentes after his driving midfield performances helped the South American minnows to a surprise third-place finish at the Under-20 World Cup.
Scotland is more likely to be a leader in the chase for the rising 20-year-old star.
And Vickery was effusive in his praise. Speaking on talk SPORT's Hawksbee and Jacobs show, he's wearing Cifuentes as the key man in Ecuador's Super Under-20 World Cup run.
Vickery said: "He was the beating heart of that side and I think he's a terrific midfielder." He's strong, he's got quality, he's got a good engine – he's one of the best all-round midfielders, potentially, that I've seen come out of South America in a while.
"Get him, sign him on!
"Ecuadorians are only just starting to forge careers in Europe." Antonio Valencia has done a lot to open doors for them, he's just left United and gone back to Ecuador.
"But this fellow Cifuentes strikes the ball well, moves across the field, strong in the tackle, strong on the ball, I like him a lot."
