GUADALAJARA – Mauricio Cuero, a recent addition to the Atlas Rojinegros, took longer to be presented as a reinforcement than to injure his knee in open-door practice that took place on Thursday at Atlas Colomos facilities.
In the morning the Tapatio box introduced him as one of his six reinforcements, in what will be his third stage in Mexican soccer, and in one of the exercises he experienced a severe pain in his left knee that forced him to end his session work.
The Colombian gave a loud cry when he went to look for a ball during the exercise of "torito" that made the team on court 1. The grimace of pain and the immobile striker on the floor made everyone think the worst.
The striker was taken care of by the court doctor and did not continue working just in his first days as a club player. It is expected that in the next hours Atlas will issue a statement informing the player's situation and whether the injury was serious or not.
