Regardless of what unfolds in London, Tiley said Barty is a great role model and has inspired many newcomers to get involved with the sport, in what some are calling the "Barty bump" or "the Ash effect".
"People see Ash, they get the racquet out of the cupboard and have a hit. The challenge now is to keep them going," Tiley said.
While there is little data to support the spike in participation, the director of Toptenn Tennis Academy, Peter Owen, said the international coverage of Barty's surprise victory has inspired boys, girls, women and men to get involved.
"We've had inquiries for coaching this week that have mentioned Ash's win," he said.
