Bangladesh faces India in the last official warm-up match of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, held at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
India has a superior head-to-head record against Bangladesh and won 29 of the 35 ODIs played between the two teams, while Bangladesh won five. On the last four occasions that the two teams met, India has the best of the Tigers.
Their final class was in the final of the 2018 Asia Cup in which India won with three wickets on the final ball.
Bangladesh was stunned by New Zealand because they got a 0-3 slice in the hands of Kiwis. However, the team came back strongly in the tri-series that was held in Ireland and won four races in the trot. Bangladesh remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and comfortably defeated the West Indies with five wickets in the final.
The Tigers would confuse their luck, because not even a ball could be thrown in their first warm-up match against Pakistan due to rain.
On the other hand, India, who are considered one of the favorites for the title, have won eight and lost five of their last 13 ODIs they played this year. Interestingly, they have lost all of their last four games, including a humiliating six-wicket loss to New Zealand in their first warm-up match.
The team would have the feeling that they had made the wrong end, as the ball did a lot of tricks in the first half. India landed on 39-4 before they could even begin to consolidate and were always chasing after their tail.
