Chelsea fans are celebrating as the Blues have secured Champions League qualification

Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Watford earlier today gave Maurizio Sarri’s men the upper hand in the heated top four race.

Manchester United only drew with Huddersfield, officially writing off their chances of securing Champions League qualifications.

And when a few hours later Arsenal dropped points to Brighton, the Blues’ return to the European elite became official.

In fact, stars must have aligned for Chelsea as all their top four rivals stumbled this weekend.

Tottenham had shockingly lost to Bournemouth on Saturday, allowing Sarri’s side to leapfrog them into third.

And the Stamford Bridge outfit could still add the cherry on top by winning the Europa – possibly by defeating Unai Emery’s Gunners in the final.

Chelsea’s official Twitter account posted an image of the Champions League trophy with the simple caption: “Hello old friend.”

And the Blues faithful couldn’t contain their join and took to social media to rejoice.

One wrote: “Thank you to Man U and Arsenal for helping Chelsea confirm their champions league spot for next year.”

While another added: “What a great day to support Chelsea!”

A third tweeted: “So pleased and happy for Sarri who at times I’ve been frustrated with this season but got things right towards end of the season!”

And another said: “Wow Chelsea actually make it to UCL through a top 4 finish. Never expected.”

While one tweeted: “Am so relieved now Europa league isn’t a priority to win… that league is so stressful… One of the best ever Sundays.”
