NBA analysts, Charles Barkley, believes that Dallas Mavericks has a bright future ahead, especially since there is a bright integration with them Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.
Barkley was a guest at ESPN Dallas KESN FM, where he said that there will be no more than 1-2 better in the leagues over the next 10 years than Doncic and Porzingis.
“I can't think of a better one-off point going on in the last 10 years.”
“The last time we saw Porzingis, we all thought it would be a star. We all know that Doncic is likely to be the NBA Rookie of the Year. He deserves it. And so, I like what Mark (Cuba) and the guys did. I really do. ”
“To get these two young pieces, I think the Mavs have done a very good job.”
The Hall of Famer added that while he is expecting the Mavs' performance next season, he believes that they need a few more pieces to become a legitimate competition.
“I like the chance of Mavs with (Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis). I think one piece will be needed from the Mavs. One better piece and some players. ”
It is expected that Porzingis will be delighted next season after losing one and a half years because of injury. Many people are hopeful that he and Doncic will be there, and that is one of the main reasons that the Mavs are expected to be one of the most exciting teams in the years ahead.
The Mavs will focus on one of the free agents in the middle of summer this summer, as Kemba Walker or Khris Middleton hope to add to the team. If they succeed in doing so, expect them to be one of the best teams in the Western Congress.
