County High School High School (CCHS) senior varsity girls rugby team defeated handily a Pincher Creek team May 14.
Hawks won 89-7, scored 15 trials and 12 conversions against Matthew Halton High School. Both teams are in level 3 in the Southern Alberta High School Rugby League.
"They are playing right now and are doing well," said Angie Seaman, Hawks & # 39; head coach.
Hawksne played their next match in Taber on Tuesday, May 21, following a lawyer's press release. With a victory Central County against Taber, another Tier 3 team, Hawks would qualify for the Tier 3 final in the South Zone Championships.
The South Zone Championship final takes place in Lethbridge on Monday, June 3, and Lethbridge also hosts the June 7-8 provincial championship. The two best teams in the South Zone qualify for provinces.
If the team gets healthy, the gardens will have a good shot at winning provinces, sailor said.
