Free since his first failed experience on the bench of AS Monaco, Thierry Henry was recently associated with his former New York Red Bulls club, penultimate in MLS. The American club has issued a statement to comment on this information.
Thierry Henry not yet close to find a new bench!
While rumors suggested a possible return of Thierry Henry at the New York Red Bulls to take over Chris Armas on the bench, the North American franchise held to deny. Indeed, following insistent rumors, the sports director of the New York club, Denis Hamlett, wanted to respond officially via the MLS website and said that they were false and that a return of his former player (2010 to 2014) as a coach was not in the program.
"Recent news that Thierry Henry has joined the New York Red Bulls is wrong"explained the New York leader. As a reminder, for his first coaching experience, Henry left Monaco in late January after barely three and a half months at the head of the Principality's club (5 wins in 20 games).
Leonardo Jardim, who had himself replaced mid-October after a catastrophic start to the season, took over the reins of the princely team.
